Lesley Brown joined KP in 2020. Supporting her community drives Lesley’s academic and career aspirations. Lesley actively engages community-based and grassroots organizations across Indiana in service of Indiana’s IMPACT job placement and training program, as well as many statewide public information campaigns (e.g., Know the Facts and 988 Crisis Line). Lesley previously supported a statewide human services system implementation Project Management Office.
Earlier in her career, Lesley worked at Planned Parenthood and the Office of Student Financial Assistance at Indiana University in Bloomington and Indianapolis. She was an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer at the Area 10 Agency on Aging in Bloomington, where she served as liaison for the Seniors and Law Together (S.A.L.T) Council, worked with local AARP, Sheriff’s Department and Police Department to develop means to address the crime and public safety concerns of senior citizens. She has master’s degrees in both Education and Library Science. Lesley is a proud longtime Indianapolis resident and cat lady of Irvington.
