Project overview
KP contributed to the project management office for a multi-year replacement of a Medicaid Management Information System — one of the state’s largest and most visible technology implementations. MMIS programs sit at the intersection of federal compliance, state agency policy, multiple vendor delivery teams, and day-to-day operations that cannot be interrupted.
Our role on the PMO emphasized the work that keeps complicated programs honest: governance discipline, clear reporting, early surfacing of risk, and the practical work of translating between federal reviewers, state leadership, agency operators, and system integrators who don’t always use the same vocabulary.
