The story
Every year, Koehler Partners closes the office for a day and the entire team heads out together to volunteer with a local nonprofit partner. It has become one of the days people look forward to most, and a tradition we protect on the calendar no matter how busy the quarter gets.
The disciplines that make us good consultants — showing up prepared, listening to the people closest to the work, and following through — are the same ones that make us useful neighbors. The Day of Service is how we keep that muscle honest.
In 2026, we partnered with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity. We installed siding on an Indianapolis home for a local family. The work was challenging, physical, and immediately useful — a good reminder that not every contribution needs a slide deck.
In 2025, the KP team arranged flowers, donated by local flower distributors, with Random Acts of Flowers to brighten the days of local residents of hospitals & nursing facilities.
